HENRY (after being asked to do something he did not want to do): Mommy, you're silly! I don't care for your silliness!

I took Henry to see his doctor and when she walked into the examining room, he took one look at her, turned to me and whispered, "Mom, that's not Dr. Mullen." It was a very science fiction moment.

HENRY: Mom, I'm sorry.
ME: Sorry for what?
HENRY: I don't know.

Last night for his story before bed, Henry chose a kids' book on recycling that we recently bought for him. He called it, "Why Do I Recycle, Anyway?" (It's actually titled "Why Should I Recycle?")

ME: Henry, do you want to hear something sad? Do you remember my friend Maggie? Her cleaning service has been throwing away her cloth diapers.
HENRY: Oh, I thought you were going to say she died.

HENRY: Mom, what is sixty millions?
ME: Sixty million.
HENRY: Ha ha, very funny.
