Silas really seems to respond to music, so much so that he'll stop fussing and listen intently if we start to sing to him. He responds the most to my version of "We Love You Conrad" from Bye Bye Birdie:
We love you Silas,
Oh yes we do.
We love you Silas
And we'll be true.
When you're not near us
We're blue.
Oh Silas we love you.
Maybe my husband will get his little musician yet.
